Protefix® Adhesive Cushions
This fine, woven fleece, well tolerated by the palate, is used mainly during the bridging period, while wearing a temporary denture.
It contains sodium alginate which also increases the fixative power shortly after being moistened. For some denture wearers with large adhesion problems - if nothing else will hold - Protefix® Adhesive Cushions are the last solution.
Solution for the bridging period
Used for interim dentures
Fills hollows resulting from jaw regression
Proved to be very helpful at excessive bone loss on the lower jaw in old age
The cushions offer effective protection against pressure points and inflammations
Hygienic solution as it is replaced daily, easy to use Application:
Lower dentures
1. Step: For small dentures, trim the adhesive cushion to fit. Moisten the cushion and apply as described for the upper denture.
2. Press on cushion: Press the cushion into the jaw recess of the dentures using the index finger (starting in the centre and working outwards until the cushion is smooth all over). Tip: Should the adhesion begin to diminish, please remove the dentures and sprinkle the cushion with Protefix® Adhesive Powder.
Important note: Only for full dentures. Not for partial dentures including push-on fitting or conical crowns.
